NY here we come!

Me and my siblings, plus a friend will go to New York!!!! This will be my last travel during my nursing school. Since I am a bum, I got my tax return for 2008 last July. I spent half of it buying the plane ticket and the rest, in my savings account.

We are actually going to 5 different states. New York, Rhode Island, Boston, Philadelphia and Washington.

We will also visit our cousins who are NY based. We are all above 21 years old so we can party and drink our hearts out.

I'm really excited coz I get to spend my summer vacation with my siblings and a friend who lives in California. And as usual, I'm more excited packing my stuff than the actual vacation.

I will try to post some pics after my trip. I am super excited! Yay!

10 minute trainer and me

Three days ago, I started my 1, long, agonizing month doing Tony Horton's 10-minute trainer. Man, I was sore the first day I tried it.

For the past month, I enjoyed working out with Shaun T's Hip Hop Abs. It was fun and I did lose some weight, especially in the tummy area. But for the 10 minute trainer, even my grandma noticed that I did lose a lot of weight. And it's not even the end of week one.

At first I was a little hesitant on what Tony can do to my body. My siblings have tried his P90X and it really worked for them. They lose a ton of weight and kept it off. I'm not there yet though. I have to train my body first and then I'll try to do the P90X or Insanity.

4th year anniversary

Today marks my fourth year of living in America. I have through a lot. I get compliments from my nursing classmates about how unbelievable for them to think that I have only been here for 4 years.

The first few months were the hardest. I was homesick and thought about my friends a lot. Looking back, me and my friends have our separate lives. They don't really think about me as I am to them. However, we still send SMS to each other once in a while. For me, it's enough.
